Prestige Pressure Cooker Spare Aluminium Gasket – a replacement gasket for aluminum pressure cookers.
The gasket provides a secure seal allowing teh pressure cooker to build pressure adequately, building steam to allow efficient cooking. A leaking gasket won’t build steam and therefore food will not cook.
Old and worn gaskets will result in excess steam leaking, longer cooking times and possibly cause it to boil dry.
